Frequently asked questions

How can I check my monthly bill?

All residential customers of EVN Elektrosnabdiavane can check their monthly bill in any of the following ways:

  • via EVN Online plus, after signing up (link)
  • by automated phone line on 0700 10 207 (after entering MPN)
  • through the company’s call centre on 0700 1 7777 (8:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday)

For your convenience, the company offers a free service, upon activation, where we send regular billing information by SMS or email promptly after the bill is issued. For more information, see here.

I think my bill is not correct. What should I do?

If you have doubts that your bill is correct, check the current readings of your electricity meter and compare them with those on your bill. If the values recorded by you are lower than those on the bill, this means that there has been an incorrect reading or error in entering the information. In this case, you can call 0700 1 7777 (8:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday) or email us at [email protected].

If the values recorded by you are higher than those on the bill, and you still have doubts about the correctness of your bill, you need to contact the grid company in Southeast Bulgaria, Elektrorazpredelenie Yug, on the 24/7 phone line 0700 1 0007 or by e-mail [email protected].

Why do I not have electricity?

In order to establish the cause promptly, first check whether there is power in the neighbouring buildings. If there is not, then the possible reasons for this are:

  • scheduled maintenance
  • fault in the transmission or distribution grid.

Detailed information on scheduled power cuts is published on the website of Elektrorazpredelenie Yug - www.elyug.bg. Information about these, as well as about unscheduled (emergency) power cuts, can be obtained on the 24/7 phone line of Elektrorazpredelenie Yug 0700 1 0007.

  • In the case of a power cut at your site only, this may be due to overloading or a fault with one of the site’s installations (failure of an electric appliance). In this case, you should check all fuse switches in the electrical panel of the site. If the status of the fuse switches is normal (on), then you should go to the cabinet with the electricity meters and check the fuse switch behind the opening. If the fuse switch has caused the problem, then it will have turned off (fallen down) and you have to turn it on again (i.e. lift it up). If you still do not have power, call the 24/7 phone line of Elektrorazpredelenie Yug 0700 1 0007
  • disconnection due to unpaid bills.

My power supply has been disconnected due to overdue bill payment. What do I need to do to get reconnected?

In the case of disconnection due to an unpaid monthly bill, the electricity supply will be restored after payment of the overdue amount and the respective fee for reconnection according to the price list of services provided by Elektrorazpredelenie Yug. The company offers two options - express and regular. If you pay for the express service, reconnection is within 6 astronomical hours, and for the regular service, by 12:00 the next working day. For more information, contact the grid company on 0700 1 0007.

What should I do in order to register the bills in my name if I have purchased or started to rent a property?

You need to request our free service "Changing name based on documents". You can receive information about the required documents at [email protected] or on 0700 1 7777.

What should I do if I am no longer the owner/tenant of a property, but the electricity bills continue to be issued in my name?
The new owner/occupier of the property is obliged to inform us of the change within 30 days, by requesting the service "Changing name based on documents”. You can receive information about the required documents at [email protected] or on 0700 1 7777.
